Digibox Cover - (Sky, Freesat & Freeview)

Since the digital switchover all TVs require a Digital box to continue regular television viewing. Some digiboxes are inbuilt in the television however most are detached and connect to your TV through a cable (HDMI). The Sky Box is a popular choice in the UK but there are others such as Freeview, Freesat, TIVO (Virgin Media) and BT.

There are a wide range of digiboxes on the market however they all fit in one of two categories:

  1. Standard/Non-recordable - these digiboxes just act as a De-Coder to allow you to receive the TV channels
  2. Recordable boxes - these digiboxes are a bit more complex and can perform many functions including:
    • a. Pausing and rewinding live TV
    • b. Recording Programmes
    • c. High Definition (HD) viewing
    • d. Series Link
    • e. Catch Up TV
    • f. Smart Apps – Netflix, YouTube etc

Sky boxes are critical to your viewing as you normally pay a subscription charge for premier channels, this is your property and if it goes wrong you have to sort it out and this can be a nuisance and expensive. Freesat and Freeview can go wrong too so unless you have a manufacturers’ warranty these can be costly to replace. The cost is not welcome but the real dilemma is finding an engineer who will come and fix the fault and swap the box if necessary.

So, wherever you are, whatever the problem, however much it costs we will come to you and fix it, at no extra cost.*
