• Check your bank/credit card statement regularly to ensure you are not paying/continuing to pay a company that you should not be. If you are, then cancel.
• Ensure any payments that are going out from your account, credit/debit card are recognisable name. If there is a name you do not recognise then contact your bank/card provider.
• If the narrative on your statement has an overseas country on it – you should investigate this further.

• A regulated company will be able to provide you with their FRN (Firm Reference Number), the company and any documentation will also advise who the policy is underwritten by.
